The Hilltop neighborhood sits slightly more elevated in altitude than the surrounding parts of the city—hence its name. Hilltop is one of Denver’s wealthiest neighborhoods. It was developed largely in the 1940s and 1950 and features English Tudors, 2-story Colonials and Georgians, as well as, luxurious custom homes. Hilltop is undergoing its own revival as even now many of the original houses have been extensively remodeled or replaced with yet larger more stately homes. Cranmer Park, one of three in the neighborhood is at the center of it all, offering 23 acres of open space and playing fields with views of the Rocky Mountains. Excellent schools and wide, safe streets attract families and residents who appreciate Hilltop’s above-it-all location and easy access to groceries, shops and restaurants. Homeowners are drawn to the large homes and lots, the more suburban feel of the neighborhood, fine public schools and proximity to downtown Denver and Cherry Creek.
The neighborhood is bordered on the west by Colorado Boulevard, on the north by 6th Ave. and on the south by East Alameda Avenue. Part of the Southern border shares a boundary with the City of Glendale. Hilltop is conveniently located 5 miles from downtown Denver. Visit the neighborhood website at www.denverhilltop.com
